The four planetary angles
Every planet draws four lines — where it rose (AC), set (DC), crowned the sky (MC), and sat lowest (IC). Your Sun-MC line is where you are most seen; your Moon-IC line is where you feel most at home.
Astrocartography re-draws your natal chart onto the globe: each planet becomes four lines of longitude, and where a line crosses a place, that planet’s influence runs strongest there. Luxtra computes your real lines from your exact birth moment with the Swiss Ephemeris — a chart born 14 March 1990, 04:25 in San Francisco, for instance, runs its Venus-on-the-Midheaven line through Lisbon, so Venus sits at the very top of the sky for someone living there.

You weren’t only born at a time. You were born for a place. The moment you arrived, every planet stood over one exact point on Earth — and traced a line from pole to pole. Your Venus line. Your Jupiter line. The places where love finds you, where doors open, where you finally exhale. Luxtra draws all of them across the globe, computed from your real birth chart. Some lines you were always meant to follow. Let us show you where they go.
Five layers, each computed from your chart, each a place on the map you can actually go.
Every planet draws four lines — where it rose (AC), set (DC), crowned the sky (MC), and sat lowest (IC). Your Sun-MC line is where you are most seen; your Moon-IC line is where you feel most at home.
Where two planetary lines meet, a paran forms — a band of latitude where two forces braid together. A Venus–Jupiter paran is the classic line of ease, luck, and good company, felt across a whole parallel.
Venus and the Moon mark the places relationships soften and deepen. Living on a Venus-AC line, you are met as more beautiful, more wanted; people meet the version of you that Venus governs.
The Sun, Jupiter, and the Midheaven mark where recognition and opportunity gather. A Jupiter-MC line is where your reputation expands faster than it would anywhere you were born to.
Move, and your whole chart re-houses itself. Luxtra recomputes every house cusp for the new city, so you see not just the lines but the entire sky as it would stand above your new front door.
Your Venus runs along the Midheaven of the Iberian coast, which is a gentle way of saying that the city will be kind to you in the one currency you have always undervalued: being wanted. You were not born to be adored; you were born a little to the east of it, where Saturn governed the rooms you grew up in. Lisbon moves Venus to the top of your sky. People will find you easy there in a way that will, at first, make you suspicious. Let them. Spend one winter on this line before you decide where home will be — not to fall in love with a person, though that may happen, but to learn what you are like when the climate of a place agrees with your chart.
Every figure is computed with the Swiss Ephemeris from your exact birth moment — the same engine astronomers use. Nothing here is approximated or invented.

Astrocartography is a branch of astrology that maps your natal chart onto the world. Each planet in your chart is projected as four lines across the globe — where it was rising, setting, at the top of the sky, and at the bottom — and living near one of those lines strengthens that planet’s influence in your life. It was developed by astrologer Jim Lewis in the 1970s under the name Astro*Carto*Graphy.
The astronomy is exact: planetary lines are computed from the same ephemeris used for navigation, so a line’s position is accurate to a fraction of a degree of longitude. What varies is interpretation — the meaning of a Venus or Saturn line is a matter of astrological tradition, not measurement. Luxtra computes the lines precisely from your birth time and is explicit about which readings depend on an exact time.
Yes, more than for almost any other technique. The Midheaven and Ascendant lines shift roughly one degree for every four minutes of birth time, so an unknown or rounded time can move a line by hundreds of kilometres. Luxtra will still compute approximate lines without a time, and will tell you exactly which ones are reliable and which are not.
The Venus lines are the classic lines for love and attraction, with the Venus-Ascendant and Venus-Descendant lines the strongest for meeting partners. The Moon lines deepen emotional belonging, and a Venus–Jupiter paran is considered one of the most fortunate relationship bands on the map. Luxtra marks all of them on your personal globe.
They are related but not identical. Astrocartography shows your planetary lines across the whole world at a glance, while a relocation chart recomputes your entire natal chart — every house cusp — for one specific city. Luxtra gives you both: the global line map, and a full relocation chart for any place you are considering.
The computed map is free. The reading that comes with it — what each line would do to your life — is written for your chart in the app.
